BO Expedition #16 Budget Overland Defined
In this episode of the Budget Overland Podcast, Benji and Jay define what Budget Overland means.
The purpose of Budget Overland is to educate and share knowledge so that everyone within the community can experience and plan safe and memorable adventures without breaking the bank.
The term “budget'' is relative to everyone's situation. We feel your planning considerations should be based on your individual needs required to have a safe and enjoyable trip.
Budget Planning considerations should be:
Safety Travel (How can I overland more often?) Comfort Function Cool factor - Mods - gadgets Principles:
-Do not go into debt (aside from vehicle) to purchase gear
-Have a travel budget bigger than your vehicle budget
-Never shame another overlander for what they use
Overlanding is for everyone!

Budget Overland Podcast # 14- New Mexico Expedition
In this episode of the Budget Overland Podcast, Benji and Jay have a great conversation with Nicolas Villescas founder and president of NEWMEXICO-EXPEDITION LLC.
“After about a year on the trail me and my buddy Lee started an overlanding group named NEWMEXICO-EXPEDITION_OVERLANDING ORGANIZATION on Facebook and this started NEWMEXICO-EXPEDITION LLC doing guided overlanding trips in New Mexico. Over the years we had many fun times meeting new people and getting sponsors to believe in us. We are in the midst of making this a full-time occupation and having a NM-E headquarters in NM. The NM-E team consists of 6 core members who are very knowledgeable in NAV, off-road recovery, first-aid, vehicle dynamics, with over 30 years of off-road experience. Every weekend we are out on the trail using our gear for what it is meant for and acquiring ground intel for future events.”
